Holga...

For the uninitiated, the Holga is a cheaply-constructed medium-format camera made in China.  They are notorious for their "low-fidelity" images and are prone to  light leaks, vignetting and blurred focus.  Despite these flaws, shooting with a Holga can be a lot of fun, as long as you embrace its unpredictable nature.

In 2006, I bought a Holga for $30 from a photo-supply store in Providence, RI.  These are some of the better images from that very first roll of film. (From the top: The Port of Cleveland, Syd the cat (I), Sunrise, Somerville, MA and Syd the cat (II)  (Nov.- Dec. 2006) - from 120mm film.
